Sustainable health Practices
Sustainable health practices are those that last. Learning to eat, rest, move, share your intimate feelings with another, walk a spiritual path and engage in work that feeds you are all sustaining practices. For some, it takes a lifetime to find a balance that works.
My last blog demonstrated the need and the pleasure of taking time for myself. I am still benefitting from the experience of walking on a path, barefooted, connecting to myself and the environment. My awareness has been heightened, and I can recall that walk and drop into a place of peace at any time.
Being barefoot made me slow down enough to feel. Feeling the earth, the grass~wet or dry, cool or hot, finding pleasure in the shade and the sun...noting the differences. Slowing down to the walking speed of one mile per hour allowed me to take in the information, adjust, compare, enjoy.
I hope you try it! It could be a wonderful practice, free to you , anytime, anywhere. If you need help getting started, let me know.
