The Soul of Genius
I am fascinated by the lives of physicists right now. Ever since reading the Jazz of Physics by S. Alexander, Richard Feynman’s Biography and now this book, “The Soul of Genius” explores the relationship between two of the brightest brains in history, Marie Curie and Einstein.
What fascinates me is how they navigated life along with their incredible discoveries. Poverty, war, misguided opportunities, favoritism, ego dynamics of the science field…nothing dissuades them from their curiousity about the research they embark on. Einstein on quantum theory and Curie on radioactive properties.
Apparently, brilliant minds have a great capacity to stay focused. The questions remain uppermost in thier mind, and directed toward one end. Focus is key to great discoveries, including how we handle our day or our emotions. Focus just may be the key to intelligence.
